The Banshee Labyrinth, located at 29-35 Niddry Street in Edinburgh, Scotland, is considered to be Scotland's most haunted pub. The pub is made up of seven rooms and about half of the pub is built into Edinburgh’s underground vaults. When operational, the vaults were known for homeless, thieves, and the unsavory and it was here, that many people met a very gruesome end. When the pub was renovating one of the vaults, a worker saw a woman with long red hair, covering her face as she sobbed. She then shrieked a horrible howl which caused the worker to pass out in terror. When he came to, she was gone, and when he went home that night, he received a phone call that a family member had died. He felt that he had encountered a banshee, who in Irish mythology says her scream heralds the death of a loved one.Many have placed their drink down and watched it slide straight off the table or smash against a wall as if thrown by an unseen force.
