Ever since he was a child he wanted to make a measurable difference in the world. His first calling was to the brotherhood of firefighting.  But a severe car accident ended that dream, and also ended the life of one of his best friends. Cole remembers very little about the accident except the ER surgeon telling him someone must have plans for Cole because there’s no reason he should have survived.
