To kick off an entire month of horror films, we decided to start with one of the best, John Carpenter's The Thing. Unlike many new horror movies, The Thing builds suspense, and doesn't rely on cheap jump-scare tactics. Starring Kurt Russell, and pretty much no other big names, this film takes you into the Antarctic wilderness to discover alien life.
