Sinopsis

This week, how critical is the idea of an individual degree and an individual catechism to the future of Freemasonry? We’ll explore a piece by William H. Boyd in which he outlines the several reasons why the future of the Craft depends on the practice of individual degrees and catechisms. Then, we'll talk about the investigation committee and the concerns of a Grand Lodge in the 1950s. As the Grand Lodge put it, is there a “serious lack of discretion?” We’ll explore some of the questions that we are charged to find the answers to within the Investigation committee and talk about how things have changed over the years. Lastly, I read my response from a festive board on the idea of World-Wide Brotherhood. What does it mean to truly be a brotherhood that spans the world? What makes us brothers? It's not just the obligation--it's something deeper. All this and more, stay tuned.
