He soon met the first band he would manage, Hootie and the Blowfish, and guided their career through 25 million records sold, three #1 releases, and awards including multiple GRAMMYs, an MTV Music Award, and Billboard’s Artist of the Year. Harmon managed additional chart-topping artists including Colt Ford, Lacs, Jason Michael Carroll, and GRAMMY-nominated Reckless Kelly. His wide-ranging music experience includes management, record labels, distribution, publishing, and marketing at companies including Average Joe’s Management, and his own Harmon Music Management. Rusty served as the president of Atlantic Records imprint Breaking Records and created significant brand partnerships for many of his artists.
