Americans are exhausted, frustrated, and angry, which will narrow the tools at our disposal. We may see 50-80 million infected with omicron. Over the long term, if we settle into 30,000-50,0000 Covid-19 deaths per year, on top of flu, that will overwhelm our health system. We need now to institute fundamental changes in ventilation, test and trace, and other capacities. The international environment? Fr
