Sinopsis

At the beginning of Nehemiah 5, the Jews are having a very hard time making ends meet. They are starving, their land is being taken away from them, and their children are being sold as slaves back to their own countryman. Angered, Nehemiah goes to the fellow countryman who are making it hard on their own people and points out how their actions are enslaving the very people everyone has worked so hard to free. Their own greed had led them to lay down God's vision for His people and take up another. The rich Jews realized what Nehemiah was saying and did as he requested, forgiving debt and giving back the land and children. Nehemiah used his position, power, conviction, vision and action to rescue the people, just as Christ has for us. But we, like the rich Jews, have been given power. We live our days not fully realizing our potential and the affect we can make on the world. What would it be like if we utilized our full power?...
