Commissioner Johnston reminds us of the real battle regarding Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, and the fact that in 1973 the Supreme Court of United States declared war against the practice of medicine, as well as assaulting the foundation of the law. For three thousand years medicine has always sworn that it would, 'only care or comfort, but never harm a patient.' (Hippocratic Oath) With the passage of the Roe v. Wade and Doe v Bolton decisions, doctors were told they were free to be hired selective killers, using medicine to intentionally take a human life which until that day had been protected, in the 50 states, the life of a vulnerable unborn child. This fundamental assault on the nature of American law and society has had grave implications.
