King Arthur, the wound, and the grail myth. The Holy Grail is a treasure that serves as an important motif in Arthurian literature. Different traditions describe it as a cup, dish or stone with miraculous powers that provide happiness, eternal youth or sustenance in infinite abundance, often in the custody of the Fisher King. Diana, world renown author, began a deep inquiry into the possibility that our global crises are reflections of a prevailing dysfunctional sense of identity and consciousness in us as human beings. These ideas were explored in her non-fiction book The Return of King Arthur: Completing the Quest for Wholeness, Inner Strength, and Self Knowledge coming to focus in the figure of the Wounded King and the Wasteland Kingdom that is a reflection of his wound found in the grail myth.
