So I won't go into any family wedgie stories, I'm sure we all have some to share. But the point of this podcast is that structure matters; market structure matters. I'm a personal fan of having a view that shows the real price movement, with time as a second class citizen. So for stocks, I like to find the average true range and then create a range chart that is related to that ATR. NOW, if that didn't make sense then reach out to me and I'll be happy to answer your questions. I want to see the market structure of a stock for its typical movements, and more important; I like to know when it is behaving in an a-typical fashion. My favorite two tools for visualizing market structure are channels and wedges; and I put them on the range chart for the stock.
