In the past year and a half, about 30,000 people have arrived at the Canadian-U.S. border at unofficial border crossings, seeking asylum. This has led to some sounding the alarm that Canada has a “refugee crisis.” Anver Saloojee joins host Melissa Yu Vanti to share his perspective on asylum seekers at the Canadian-U.S. border, and why it is critical that we reframe the way we engage in these topics.
