Something Spictacular

The story of Jody (Tyrese Gibson), a misguided, 20-year-old African-American who is really just a baby boy finally forced-kicking and screaming to face the commitments of real life. Streetwise and jobless, he has not only fathered two children by two different women: Yvette (Taraji P. Henson) and Peanut(Tamara LaSeon Bass) but still lives with his own mother. He can't seem to strike a balance or find direction in his chaotic life. DAMN! It’s been a while since I watched this one, so I almost forgot how good it was! Before getting all fast n furious with himself or transforming into a sidekick for giant talking robot cars, Tyrese was “Jody” in 2001's “Baby Boy”, starring Taraji P. Henson, Snoop Dogg, Ving Rhames and Omar Gooding, directed by (RIP) John Singleton! Was Jody too worried about the ladies, so much that he was the father of 2 kids by 2 different mothers? Will there EVER be anyone dead or alive that will play a better multi-layered baby mother than Taraji P. Henson?? WOULD ICE CUDE HAVE PLAYED A B
