What's your backup strategy to save your photos? Every single hard drive will fail. It isn't a matter if "if", but "when" a drive fails. It's impossible to avoid. When your drive fails, you need a strategy to save your precious data. For photographers, that means your RAW files, final JPEGS, Photoshop files, Lightroom Catalog and perhaps more.
