This week for episode 15, BlackinAsia and unapologetically-yellow discuss the rise of anti-LGBTQ movements in Africa. Recently, BlackinAsia participated in a rally protesting draconian anti-LGBTQ legislation in Nigeria. There is growing recognition that the anti-LGBTQ movements aren’t as clear cut as Western media like to portray them as, but there are still gaps in understanding.
