Dr. Stellpflug is the Twin Cities Medical Toxicology Fellowship Director.  He primarily practices, teaches, and learns as a faculty physician in the Regions Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine and Clinical Toxicology Service in St. Paul.  He also functions as a consultant for Minnesota Poison Control, and his academic appointment is as an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School.  Following medical school at the University of Wisconsin, he completed residency in emergency medicine at Regions Hospital, and then medical toxicology fellowship in the Twin Cities – a joint effort between the Regions Hospital clinical service and Minnesota Poison Control.  Sam served as the ACEP Tox Section Newsletter Editor and Secretary and subsequently the Chair-elect in the 4 years leading up to taking over as the section chair this fall.  He is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.   Mike Simpson has served over three decades in the military as an Airborne Ranger, a Special F
