We're discussing the Balance this week and having to taste our own medicine when it comes to how science and reality work. There's been a lot of talk on this podcast of the balance between theory and practice - specifically NASA and SpaceX. How their varying approaches can be wildy different...but can complement each other perfectly for the future of human space travel. This past month in response to 3D printing against coronavirus - we had to experience that dynamic first-hand. I had to personally draw the line of where perfection goes too far and when 'good enough' is in fact, good enough.
