Biblical Elucidation

Rev 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Many altar calls have opened to this passage of scripture. Stating that Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart... will you let Him in? Because of this many Believers have said, Jesus has knocked on the door of my heart and I let Him in. But, is this what scripture is revealing to us concerning Revelation 3:20?
