Biblical history is prophecy. In this session, Eddie teaches on the time when Antiochus Epiphanes ruled over the Middle East. We see that he is a shadow picture of the future anti-messiah. During his rule over the Middle East, Antiochus wanted to “Hellenize” the entire known world so that all would be following Greek culture, law and world view. He set forth evil decrees: *people should NOT follow the Torah. *people should not offer burnt offerings or sacrifices in the Temple. *people should not keep the biblical Sabbath or the Biblical Festivals. *people should not circumcise their children. *people should eat unclean food including pig. The purpose of these decrees was to restrain the Jewish people from following the Torah. Whoever did NOT follow these decrees was SUBJECT TO DEATH.
