Denis Noble is Emeritus Professor of Cardiovascular Physiology at Oxford University. He developed the first viable mathematical model of the working heart. He has been listed as one of the top 100 scientists and a pioneer in the field of Systems biology. His most recent book “The Music of Life” tackles the big issue of how biologists should seek to understand life itself.
