He received slight inspiration from Fritz Lang's 1927 sci-fi masterpiece, but over 50 years later, a critically acclaimed team of Japanese filmmakers decided to adapt Tezuka and Lang's vision together in one truly remarkable anime. Despite this anime film not being as famous as the likes of Ghost in the Shell, Akira and Your Name. this hidden classic uniquely brings to life the thoughts of German impressionism from 80 years past, Biblical symbolism and Eastern theology in one mind-bending presentation.
