Being one of his closest guarded films, audiences had very little idea of what Tenet would actually be about...some guessed it may actually be a secret sequel to Inception. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, that secret remained a little longer as the film was pushed back multiple times due to theaters closing and the fear of poor box office returns. Finally, Tenet did come out in theaters in 2020, making it one of the biggest (and few) releases of the year. While it was met with positive critical reaction, word of mouth spread about how the dialogue was difficult to hear and it was so confusing it was best left to decipher on home video with subtitles, play, pause, and rewind. So is Tenet actually a work of genius or does the Emperor have no clothes?
