JUSTIFICATION Introduction: Romans plan for salvation -  “There is no one righteous, not even one” - Romans 3: v 11 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” - Romans 3: v 23  What is SIN? – 1 John 3: v 4  Where did sin come from?=Roman 5:12 “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned.”  Wages of Sin - “For the wages of sin is death…”Romans 6: v 23a Bad news : The sentence = Guilty = Death  Gift of God = but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” – Romans 6: v 23b Good news : a criminal pardoned. = Eternal Life But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us proves, demonstrates, shows…His love towards us (yet sinners) (He died) Romans 5:v8 WHAT IT MEANS TO BE JUSTIFIED : God has promised salvation by faith Doctrine: Faith is Jesus Christ is the reasonable ground for God’s defense or vindication
