The Teaching of Jesus Christ GRACE and TRUTH – John 1:14-17 Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ – “ he dwelt among us …we saw His Glory” Grace and truth can not be separated …. GOD is willing to show us GRACE, ….. BUT GRACE can not be appreciated until we accept TRUTH Grace is underserved kindness that God bestows on sinners Truth is what sets us free If you are not willing to accept TRUTH …. You will never know GRACE and you will never be free from your sin. Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ GRACE and TRUTH … Illustrated in the life of a women caught in adultery Culture - accusation - intimidation - double standard - outward holiness - inward hypocrisy - Truth was concealed - Grace was unknown Caught - caught in the act - guilty - going to die The Law condemns us all “ All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 Commands of the Law “ the law commands us to stone her ” Jesus upheld the LAW - He endorsed it, - Matt 5:17 “ think not that I come to destroy the law” J
