Sinopsis
Colon cancer is the second deadliest cancer impacting both men and women, but it’s considered preventable if caught in earlier stages when it is most treatable. As the pandemic continues, it’s important that people stay up-to-date with their screenings and are aware of the options available, including tests that can be taken from home. Boston resident and colon cancer survivor Paul joins us today to discuss his colon cancer journey, including his experience with an at-home screening test, and the importance of early detection and choice in screening options. Paul, a Boston resident, took a positive at-home test result last year at age 52 and was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer through a follow up colonoscopy; he went through chemo this year during COVID and now considers himself a screening advocate.
