The Big Idea: Those who know us most should see Jesus best. Colossians 3:18-4:1 The discussion at hand is about living TRANSFORMED and free. SLAVERY is addressed, but not opposed. Why? The call of God is mutual SUBMISSION. Ephesians 5:21 “Submit” is a military term about arranging TROOPS for victory. This passage addresses our natural INIQUITY. How you live is a SPIRITUAL decision. SIX WAYS TO BRING IT HOME: 1. Wives, glorify Jesus by aligning yourself with your husband for VICTORY. 2. Husbands, glorify Jesus by feeding the well-being of your wife while giving your HEART to her. 3. Children, glorify Jesus by learning to honor God’s AUTHORITY. 4. Fathers, glorify Jesus by strengthening and protecting your children’s HEARTS. 5. Victims of oppression, glorify Jesus by proceeding FULLY-DEVOTED to Jesus. 6. People in authority, glorify Jesus by LEADING like God does with you. Colossians 3:23-24
