Truth That Transforms

Main point: At Jesus’ Roman trial before Pontius Pilate, Jesus again acknowledges that He is indeed the Messiah, the King of the Jews. Ironically, the guilty insurrectionist Barabbas is released by Pilate in the Passover clemency, while the righteous and innocent Son of God is delivered over to crucifixion. Yet, this is all part of God’s purpose and plan to accomplish His promised salvation.
