We kick off our first full episode of Mic'd Up with an interview with Charleston area native, artist and activist, Sunn m'Cheaux. Sunn was recently named Gullah language educator within Harvard University's distinguished African Language Program, led by Dr. John Mugane. Here, we walk, talk and drive with Sunn as he takes us back to his Gullah roots and describes the potential impact his new position at Harvard could potentially have on the cultural torch bearers back home in the Lowcountry.
