Only now are are seeing the effects of  40 years of privatized, free-market education  combined with a growing beaurcpatic quagmire pitting politicians against unions and unions against teachers, with parents caught smack-dab  in the middle.  All of which culminates in the devaluation of the one thing the United States holds so dear; it's children...Take THAT!
