Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 55 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond There was a story that I read once about an elderly carpenter who was ready to retire. He told his employer who was a contractor, that he had made plans to leave the house building business, and wanted to live a more leisurely life with his family. The contractor was so sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. Of course, the carpenter said yes. But, in time it wasn't easy to see that his heart was not in it. The carpenter did not do as well as he should have and built a shoddy house. Well, it's unfortunate that this is the way he ended his dedicated career. When the carpenter finished his work the employer came to inspect the house and he handed him the front door key, and said, "This is your house, my gift to you." At that moment the carpenter was shocked, what a shame. If he had only known that he was building his own house, he would have done it so differently. You
