NTL 074 – Jordan Peterson’s Calgary Engagement and the Intolerance of Progressives

Informações:

Sinopsis

A group of about 400 artists in Calgary signed an open letter to have Jordan Peterson's recent talk canceled because of his "toxic, and often violent, rhetoric" and because his "quasi-academic ideas are misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, and racist." In this episode, Roger challenges this notion with a simple question; "So what?" Does free speech include hate speech, regardless of who deems the speech hateful? Dave points out that some people who oppose Jordan Peterson are less likely to have actually heard Peterson himself and more likely to have heard somebody recount what Peterson said and why it should offend them.
