毎月第１週は「ドラマで英語を学ぼう」の新作「オーストラリアの冒険（Adventure in Australia）」をお届けしています。広島大学に留学していた、オーストラリア出身のHelen Needsさんが作成したオリジナルドラマです。３人の登場人物（Takako, Carmel, Brian）と一緒にオーストラリアを旅しながら、オーストラリアの英語や文化に触れてみましょう。 第二回目は、シドニーからクイーンズランドにやってきたTakakoが、地元の友人であるBrian、Carmelとコーヒーショップで話をしている場面です。シドニーとクイーンズランド、それぞれの特徴ががよくわかる会話です。 （聞き取りのポイント） ・タカコがシドニーを離れたいと思った理由は何ですか。 ・カーメルは事故で車が壊れた時の話をしていますが、その事故の原因となった動物は何ですか。 ・解説を聞き、会話で使われている次の語句の意味を考えてみましょう。(1) Not all they're cracked up to be.
