Sinopsis

I first heard the term Northern Soul in the early 2000s while watching a one-hit wonder show on VH1 that mentioned "Tainted Love" as a song the members of Soft Cell used to dance to as teenagers in discotheques. A few years later, I was watching a documentary on rave culture, and there was Soul again. I was hooked. It turns out that for every Motown hit we all know and love, there were probably 50 copycat bangers that never made it to the radio and ended up coveted by British DJs in the late '70s. Side B is all about sweet, sweet Reggae music.
