The story of Jonah is really the story of the greatness of God’s mercy. God planned to show his mercy on a level that was unthinkable. He decided to spare the most wicked city in the world from the judgment they deserved. Why would God do that? What we’re going to see in this story is that God will use a reluctant missionary to bring his message of mercy.
