As we see scenes of the horrible devastation, it is a reminder of why Jesus came. He came on a rescue mission for us–He came to seek and save those who are lost–to save those who’ve wandered far from God–for He is our hope. In John 16:33 Jesus says, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” So no matter the storm, no matter the darkness, Jesus wants to bring light to your hopeless situation.
