2 Corinthians 6:3-13 - Speaker: Lukus Counterman - Paul has had a strained relationship with the church of Corinth. They were closed off and resentful towards him. They held Paul in suspicion and kept him at arm’s length even though he had given so much for them. In 2 Corinthians 6:3-13 the apostle highlights the marks of his ministry and emphasizes its proven character. He wasn’t some fly-by-night huckster. He wasn’t fleecing them for his own profit. Instead, he endured great hardship on their account and remained faithful to the gospel task before him. He was a servant of God with proven ministry among them, and in return he asked them to open their hearts. He wanted to be reconciled to the church once again and experience unhindered affection. There are so many practical lessons in this text for us this season – lessons about endurance in the service of others, and reconciliation in our relationships with others.
