These infections are sending increasing numbers of babies and toddlers to hospitals and to intensive care units. Besides RSV, cases of influenza and CoVid are also rising as we head into the peak respiratory virus season.What can you do to protect yourselves but especially your babies.  Pregnant women should be vaccinated against RSV between 32 and 36 weeks of pregnancy to pass immunity on to their newborns. Only the Pfizer vaccine Abrysvo is approved for pregnant women.As you think about protection against RSV during this respiratory disease season, don’t forget about influenza and CoVid.  If you haven’t had your booster for one or both, arrange to do so as soon as possible.
