This, of course, is the $1.9 million fine the FAA announced last week against SkyPan International. Jason posted an excellent article on the case that you can access right here. The case is not “closed” on whether this fine will stand, but it certainly shows that the FAA is ready and willing to take strong measures against drone companies that are not flying legally.
