Welcome to Drone Law Today! In this episode, we speak with drone lawyer Lisa Ellman. Lisa is the co-chair of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Practice Group at the Hogan Lovells law firm. Lisa has a unique perspective on U.S. “drone law,” as she helped develop drone policy while working in the White House and the U.S. Department of Justice. Lisa is a thought leader who advocates for reasonable, workable regulation of emerging technology. She articulated her perspective on how leaders in industry and government can work together in an (awesome) TEDx Talk on “Polivation.” Polivation is a new approach to balancing the needs of innovators and policymakers to make good use of new technologies in a way that wins the public trust and benefits society.
