Welcome to Drone Law Today! In this episode, we speak with attorney James Mackler of the Frost Brown Todd law firm in Nashville, Tennessee. James focuses his “drone law” practice on regulatory and compliance issues across a range of industries, including agriculture, real estate, construction, video production, entertainment, surveying, and military and government agencies.  James is a veteran who served in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He served as a helicopter pilot after enlisting following the events of September 11, 2001. James put his law degree to work in the Army JAG Corps, where he tried numerous courts martial and administrative hearings. James brings aviation experience and a criminal law background to the drone industry. Our talk touches on a number of these issues, and takes a particular focus on how state and federal law is (and will continue to) impact the commercial drone industry.
