Dr. Geisinger received her B.S. from Duke University, her D.D.S. from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine, and her Certificate in Periodontology and Master of Science degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.  She is an Associate Professor, Director of Advanced Education in Periodontology, and Director of Faculty Development and Support in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry.  Dr. Geisinger is a Diplomate in the American Board of Periodontology. She is the Immediate Past President of the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation, AAPF, a Trustee of the American Academy of Periodontology, AAP, the Chair of the AAP’s Women in Periodontics Task Force. She is a member of the American Dental Association’s Council on Scientific Affiairs and Chair of the ADA’s Seal Subcommittee.
