We continue our series called “Matriarchs of Christ.” Each week we look at a different woman that is listed in the genealogy of Jesus from Matthew’s Gospel. Our message today is “Ruth.” We read today from Ruth for the story of a woman that shows her loyalty and faithfulness. We hear about faith from unexpected places in unexpected ways. Our scripture readings come from Ruth 3:1-13, 4:13, 18-22; Isaiah 11:1-10; and Luke 1:26-33.
