The Red Sox (76-62) avoided being swept by the Pittsburgh Pirates with Sunday's 5-2 win in front of a sellout crowd of 36,583 at Fenway Park. Aroldis Chapman retired the side 1-2-3 with 2 strikeouts in the 9th to notch his 27th save. With the win, the Sox avoided a 6th straight home loss and finished 17-11 in August. It's the first time the Sox have had a winning record in the month of August since 2019. -----Sox at the Dish: The Red Sox went in front for good in the 5th Inning. Roman Anthony tied the game at 1-1 with an RBI groundout. Jarren Duran hit an Inside-the-Park Home Run with 2 on later in the inning that put the Red Sox up, 4-1. Ceddanne Rafaela made it 5-1 with an RBI (infield) Single in the 6th Inning. Anthony went 0-for-3 with a walk and run scored, and his 6-game hit streak came to an end.
