The New York Mets showed the fight that has been missing for large stretches of the season and CRUSHED the Phillies in the opener of the this three game series, 13-3.This one turned in the 4th inning, with the Phillies already in front 3-0. A balk from Cristopher Sanchez after getting his cleat stuck unsettled the Philly left-hander and the Mets took full advantage. They scored three to tie the game up. After a 14-minute delay for Alex Bohm's complaint about some sound equipment in centerfield, the Mets took the lead on a Mark Vientos RBI knock and it was all Mets from there. Things broke open in the 7th with a four run outburst that expanded the lead to 10-3 after a Luis Torrens 3-run HR. Kodai Senga wasn't great tonight for the Mets, but battled through four innings to keep the Mets in it. The bullpen, however, was outstanding. They did not allow a hit and had only one baserunner against them. Tomorrow, Sean Manaea goes for New York as the Mets look to win the series and gain another game in the NL East sta
