Jonah Tong showed off why he was a top Mets pitching prospect and the offense gave him all the run support he could ask for, as the Mets defeated the Miami Marlins by a final of 19-9. Tong is the story tonight, throwing five innings and look every bit the part of a top pitching prospect. His high octane fastball and funky delivery helped fuel a six strikeout night for his first career MLB victory. Offensively, the Mets did everything they could to support Tong. They scored five runs in the first before making their first out, knocking Eury Perez out after just two outs. It didn't stop there, as they added seven more runs in the 2nd to take a commanding 12-0 lead.
