Karen Read subsequently went on trial twice for O’Keefe’s murder, with the first trial ending in mistrial and the second ending in Read’s acquittal on the most serious charges. Jami has been closely following this case since 2023, and Jessi was somewhat aware of it given its virality and media exposure.
