Locked On Mets

POSTCAST: Mets Play SLOPPY, Get SHUTOUT By Braves for FIFTH Straight Loss

Sinopsis

The New York Mets didn't hit, they didn't get good starting pitching and they played sloppy defense as they fell to the Atlanta Braves, 5-0 for their FIFTH straight loss. It was bad from the word go, as Ronald Acuna Jr. took Paul Blackburn's first pitch deep for a leadoff HR as part a of three-run first inning. The Mets, defensively, handed the Braves a series of runs. One came on an error by Luis Torrens after he used his mask to stop a ball that got away. The other, in the 4th, came on a wild pitch. Offensively, there wasn't a whole lot. The Mets had ONE at-bat with runners in scoring position. Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto and Pete Alonso combined to go 0-for-12 with 5 strikeouts against Chris Sale, who threw a gem. Somehow, this team will have to regroup and try to salvage the finale of this series to avoid six straight losses and two straight series sweeps. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Trade CoffeeRight now, Trade is exclusively offering our customer 50% off your one-month trial at drinktrade.com/
