Sinopsis
The New York Mets were on a path to their seventh straight win tonight, until a six run 6th inning changed the tune. The Mets fell to the Tampa Bay Rays, 7-5. Offensively, the Mets did what they normally do. A bunch of Tampa Bay defensive miscues in the 4th and 5th fueled the Mets offense. It was, however, another tough night with RISP. The Mets left 12 men on base and went 2-16 with runners in scoring position. Clay Holmes was solid over his five innings of work, but Paul Blackburn struggled in relief. The Mets will look to flush this one and get back in the win column tomorrow with Tylor Megill on the mound.
