Sinopsis
It was a better night offensively for the New York Mets, plating 5 runs and defeating the Boston Red Sox, 5-1. A new lineup configuration saw Starling Marte in the two-hole, with Juan Soto moved down to the 3 spot. The early returns were more of the save for the Mets, but it was Brett Baty's 3 RBI night that lead the way. Tylor Megill looked more like his April self through the first 4 innings, racking up 10 strikeouts. The 5th inning however saw a couple of infield hits and a hit-by-pitch get Megill into some trouble that ended his night early. The Mets avoided the sweep and now will have an off-day before starting a three game series with the Dodgers back home at Citi Field.
