Sinopsis
It was a cold, cold night at Citi Field but the New York Mets bats were able to do just enough to get by the Miami Marlins in the opener of this three-game series. A pair of RBI hits from Juan Soto and Tyrone Taylor provided all the offense the Mets needed, as the Amazin's pitching was once again the story. Kodai Senga provided 5 scoreless innings in his first home start of the year, and it was the Mets bullpen doing what they've done best. Danny Young, Jose Butto and Ryne Stanek combined to get the final 12 outs to seal the victory for New York.
