Today we're talking about the Southern Baptist Convention and two big stories surrounding the organization. First, the recently released report on sexual abuse within the church. We go over some of the information in the report and how to navigate the situation as well as the SBC's handling of it over the years. Then, we welcome Pastor Tom Ascol back to the show to discuss the SBC meeting taking place next week in California, during which the SBC will choose a new president. Pastor Ascol is one of the candidates for the SBC presidency, and he tells us what he hopes his leadership would bring to the Southern Baptist Convention and about the direction he feels the organization should go regardless of who's leading it.
